David Chase Paschal is President of Paschal Land and Energy, LLC, and has 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

He is a Registered Professional Landman (RPL) with the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) and an active member of the Dallas Association of Petroleum Landmen (DAPL). Before entering the land profession, Chase owned and operated Select Exteriors, LLC, a landscape and irrigation company serving high-end residential clients. He holds Texas licenses as a landscape irrigator (LI) and backflow prevention assembly tester (BPAT) and is pursuing a Texas pesticide commercial applicator license (TPCL) for lawn and ornamental work. He now regards his former profession primarily as a hobby and a fallback option if needed.

Chase is divorced and has three adult children. His youngest child, Julie Ann, was born in 2002 with Microphthalmia Syndromic 12 and has special needs. She is blind, uses a wheelchair, and cannot walk. Chase considers her a blessing and a gift from God. He shares custody of Julie Ann with his former wife, Leigh Ann. Chase is a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church of Dallas, led by Senior Pastor Dr. Robert Jeffress and Executive Pastor Dr. Ben Lovvorn.

Chase married his former wife in November 1992 at age 17. Their oldest son, Blake, was born in June 1993, followed by their middle child, Tristan, in 2001. Chase initially postponed college to support his family. He plans to attend Dallas College part time beginning in spring 2027 and ultimately hopes to earn a law degree.
